Advanced techniques in acting, singing and dance are integrated into the rehearsal process and culminate in a full-length musical production of West Side Story. West Side Story is one of the most memorable musicals and greatest love stories of all time. Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet is transported to 1950s New York City as Tony and Maria find themselves caught between warring street gangs, the Jets and the Sharks. Their struggle to survive in a world of hate, violence and prejudice is one of the most heart-wrenching and relevant musical dramas of our time. This class is offered in partnership with The Performance Project School of the Arts.
