Based on the original Broadway production that was nominated for nine Tony Awards,

this show is a stunning adaptation of a story of transformation and tolerance. 

With many roles for our Young Professionals to play including castle object come to life,

this "tale as old as time" is filled with visual spectacle and well-known songs.

For our more advanced students, this show is by audition only.  Campers will perform in 3-6 shows for the general public. Campers perform in a professional production of Beauty and the Beast, Jr. The performances are open to the public. We accept 24 Young Professionals for Broward Center and the NSU/Miniaci Performing Arts Center venues only and an audition video is required.  Acceptance is determined on a rolling admissions basis, so you are encouraged to submit your audition video as early as possible.

Young Professionals audtion submission dates:
March 18 (Decisions made by March 22)
April 15 (Decisions made by April 19)
May 13 (Decisions made by May 17)

Audition Video Content must include:
Acting: 1 minute monologue — comedy
Singing: 1 minute of a show tune – sung to a track or piano accompaniment music, NO VOCALS. Use only the camera mic and not a handheld microphone.

Advanced techniques in acting, singing and dance are integrated into the rehearsal process and culminate in a full-length musical production in the Amaturo Theater. A loving homage to the classic B sci-fi film and horror genres with an irresistible Rock ‘n’ roll score, The Rocky Horror Show is a hilarious, wild ride that no audience will soon forget. Fee includes script and costumes.  This class is offered in partnership with The Performance Project School of the Arts.

You will receive an e-mail to confirm the date and time of the audition and directions for what to bring and prepare.
Students will be notified by e-mail. Once acceptance is announced, students must register for the Teen Spring Musical at the Rose Miniaci Arts Education Center.  Classes meet Saturdays from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM 2/9 – 4/27 and on Thursdays from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM 2/7 – 4/25.
