School of the Arts, Children's Educational Theatre, and Professional Theatre Company
For over 25 years, The Performance Project has served Broward County as a high-quality performing arts organization with sound program design rooted in effective child-development practices and principles.  The agency has touched the lives of over 15,000 Floridians. We have successfully put on over 800 performances with a casts of approximately 20 performers. Our founder and her team are deeply committed to this critical work in providing a place where creativity, imagination and ingenuity is cultivated, encouraged and curated.  We believe in the power of the arts as a transformative place for positive change where diversity and inclusion are embraced. Experts say involvement in the arts aids in cognitive ability, agility and strengthens the brain’s attention system.
Our students have found an outlet to express their creativity and a venue that they call a second home.  Our artistic classes are intertwined with self-esteem building techniques and positive reinforcements; teachings that are vital to a child’s future.  Whether they seek a Nobel Prize, CEO status of a fortune 500 company, or Broadway stardom, it all begins with how they feel about themselves and how they view the world. It is the Performance Project’s teaching techniques that can be the catalyst to this bright future.
DREAM BIG!

MISSION STATEMENT:

To use the performing arts to enhance creative expression and self-confidence. Therefore, our hope is that our school of the arts can have such memorable experiences that the students will take with them this knowledge into their daily life and thusly into the adult world. Our desire is to facilitate a child's love for the arts today while shaping leaders of tomorrow.
